We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. This is a remote position only available to residents of California (CA) with a flexible shift between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm PST, Monday through Friday.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Accounts Payable:

• Review, respond to, and process vendor invoices. 
• Ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors. 
• Address and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
• Handle incoming calls from vendors

Accounts Receivable:

• Post payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records. 
• Assist with collections by preparing reports on delinquent accounts. 
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any discrepancies. 
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date and follow up with clients as necessary. 
• Process monthly client invoices and ensure accuracy in billing.

Reporting & Reconciliation:

• Prepare financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable. 
• Reconcile accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records.

Customer Service:

• Answer incoming phone calls during business hours and assist clients, vendors, and team members with inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Direct calls to appropriate team members and provide prompt follow-up when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

 

• High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certification in accounting or finance is a plus.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related fields.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks , Excel , and Adobe .
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and solve problems effectively.
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work across departments.

Benefits:
Pay starts at $18.00/hour.

Schedule:

• 4-5 hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with flexibility within the 7:00 am-5:00 pm PST timeframe.
