Job Description Summer 2025 Internship Opportunity. Now Hiring for a Human Resources Experience Intern. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to support a variety of administrative functions within a healthcare setting. This non-clinical internship offers exposure to the operational side of healthcare and is ideal for individuals interested in learning how healthcare organizations function behind the scenes.
Interns will assist with administrative tasks, contribute to projects, and gain insight into the day-to-day support work that helps keep a healthcare organization running smoothly. You will have the chance to collaborate with professionals across the organization and contribute to meaningful work that supports the overall delivery of patient care.
Schedule: - Full-time 80 hours every 2 weeks
- Monday-Friday 8:00a-4:30p
- June 2025-August 2025
- Onsite at Rice Memorial Hospital
Pay & Benefits: - The rate of pay for this internship is: $18.50 per hour

Qualifications: - Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in HR technology, operations, or compliance.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Teams, etc); experience with HRIS platforms is a plus.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities - Assist in maintaining and auditing employee data in the HRIS (e.g., UKG, Oracle, Workday).
- Support data integrity and validation projects to ensure system accuracy.
- Help document and streamline HRIS processes and end-user guidance materials.
- Research federal, state, and local compliance requirements and assist in preparing internal documentation.
- Support HR audits, including data pulls, file reviews, and compliance checklists.
- Contribute to compliance scanning content or policy reviews, where applicable.
- Collaborate with HR and IT partners on ongoing system enhancements or testing activities.
