Key Responsibilities:

• Provide athletic training services to local college and high school athletes, as well as support for community sports events.
• Collaborate with physical therapists and medical staff to assist in the rehabilitation and treatment of athletes.
• Evaluate and treat athletic injuries, developing injury prevention and recovery programs.
• Ensure proper documentation of athlete injuries and treatments.
• Serve as a key member of the sports medicine team, providing education on injury prevention and rehabilitation.

License/Certification Requirements:

• National certification through the National Athletic Trainers Association, Board of Certification (NATA BOC).
• New York State Athletic Trainer License or eligibility to obtain a license.
• CPR certification within the first three months of employment.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an institution with a National Athletic Training Association approved curriculum.
• Experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in a high school or college setting preferred.
