Position Overview:
The Automotive Controller will report directly to the CFO and play a key role in fostering a collaborative environment with the dealership's General Manager and other department leaders. This position is ideal for someone with an interactive management style who thrives on teamwork and aligning financial strategies with operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the dealership's financial operations.
• Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial records.
• Analyze financial data, providing actionable insights to the management team.
• Prepare and present financial reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with managers to develop financial strategies that support dealership goals.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory standards.
• Lead, mentor, and train the accounting team, fostering a supportive and effective workplace culture.
• Review and approve financial transactions with precision and diligence.
• Communicate regularly with the CFO and dealership leadership regarding financial performance, cost-saving initiatives, and potential issues.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in an automotive dealership accounting environment.
• B.A. in business with a concentration in accounting or finance.
• Familiarity with CDK dealer management software software (preferred but not required).
• Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional management teams.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
