Position Overview :

Florida Energy Water and Air is a dynamic fast-growing direct-to-consumer (DTC) service company with operations in 6 states. As we scale, we’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead our brand and digital performance marketing efforts, drive customer acquisition and retention.

Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will lead the strategic vision and execution of all marketing and branding with a focus on FEWA’s digital footprint, driving demand generation, brand awareness, and customer loyalty in competitive markets. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in developing and implementing high-impact marketing strategies and teams for a DTC service-based business. The position is based in the Orlando metro area and requires at least 15 years of progressive marketing experience.

Responsibilities/Attributes for Success:

Strategic Marketing Leadership :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives and private-equity goals.
  • Develop and implement omni-channel marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness and lead generation performance.
  • Define and enhance the Florida Energy Water and Air brand identity to strengthen market positioning and customer trust.
  • Identify new market opportunities and drive initiatives to expand market share in water treatment, HVAC, and air purification services.

Team Leadership and Development :

  • Oversee and mentor a call center team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Build out a digital capability utilizing either internal or external resources to increase lead gen across the organization.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for the marketing and call center teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.

Demand Generation and Customer Acquisition :

  • Design and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (digital, traditional, and experiential) to drive lead generation and customer acquisition.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize marketing spend, improve ROI, and enhance campaign performance.
  • Develop partnerships and local market strategies to increase brand visibility in all markets which we serve.

Customer Experience and Retention :

  • Implement loyalty programs and customer engagement strategies to maximize retention and lifetime value.
  • Utilize customer feedback and market research to continuously improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.

Analytics and Reporting :

  • Establish and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
  • Provide regular reports to the executive team and private-equity stakeholders on marketing performance, market trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Use data analytics to inform strategic decisions and drive continuous improvement in marketing and sales outcomes.

Collaboration and Alignment :

  • Work closely with the CEO, CFO, and COO to align marketing strategies with financial and operational goals.
  • Partner with external agencies, vendors, and other advisors to support marketing initiatives and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

Experience :

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., VP of Marketing, CMO).
  • Proven success in leading marketing teams in a DTC service-based industry, preferably in home services, HVAC, or related fields.

Skills and Competencies :

  • Strategic thinker with a strong ability to translate vision into actionable plans and measurable results.
  • Proven track record scaling revenue through both performance and brand marketing.
  • Deep expertise in digital marketing channels, including SEO, SEM, social media, paid social, website optimization, AI, and content marketing.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience overseeing large, cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM platforms).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Location Requirement :

  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Orlando metro area.
