Job Type: Contract/40 hrs week

Location: Castro Valley, Onsite

Duration: 2+ months with likelihood to extend further/convert to FTE based on performance/budget

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission Medical Staff Standards.
• Communicate effectively, including delivering negative information professionally and gaining the cooperation of physicians.
• Handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment, prioritizing assignments to meet deadlines.
• Work independently and as part of a team to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience in medical/physician credentialing.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• Proficient in medical terminology, procedures, views, and equipment.
• Experience in meeting preparation, including minute-taking.
• Expertise in handling sensitive information and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), electronic health records (EHR), EPIC, and related information systems.
• Ability to interpret various data and instructions, whether written, oral, or diagrammatic.
• Ability to maintain patient privacy and adhere to PHI regulations.
• Collaborative mindset to build strong relationships with peers and other staff members.
