Miami Children's Museum is looking for a new Education Manager to join their team!

Miami Children’s Museum is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational institution, which meets the needs of all children in our multicultural community. The Museum offers interactive exhibits, programs and learning materials related to arts, culture and our community. Miami Children’s Museum encourages visitors of all ages to play, learn, imagine and create together.

The Education Manager ensures program quality, age-appropriate curriculum, and professional teacher certification, positioning MCM as a leader in museum-based early childhood development. This role oversees Early Childhood Programs, customized preschool field trips, on-site classes, and staff professional development.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop research-based early childhood programming using High Scope, Reggio Emilia, ASQ, and DECA assessments.
  • Ensure high education standards, teacher certification, and 30 hours of annual staff training.
  • Maintain NAEYC accreditation, including annual reports, enriched learning environments, and classroom observations.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings on curriculum, discipline, and museum experiences.
  • Manage grants, assist in program development, track outcomes, and submit reports.
  • Oversee Early Childhood Institute classrooms, ensuring smooth daily operations and adherence to MCM’s philosophy.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate education staff.
  • Work with External Relations to market and expand education programs.
  • Build relationships within the early childhood professional community and provide development opportunities.
  • Develop and monitor education budgets with the Director of Education.
  • Foster a fun, positive experience for visitors and classrooms.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A degree in education or related field – Master’s Degree in Early Childhood preferred.
  • Knowledge of the NAEYC accreditation process and developmental screenings and assessment.
  • A proven track record in the design, delivery, and evaluation of a large-scale public education program for children ages 0-8, their parents and education professionals.
  • Excellent fiscal and people management skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
