Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Commercial Electrician Apprentice in the Northern VA area, to join our team. In this role, you will assist experienced electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and grow in a fast-paced, rewarding trade under the supervision of skilled professionals.

• Assist electricians in installing and wiring electrical systems, fixtures, outlets, lighting, and equipment according to local electrical codes.
• Conduct maintenance on electrical systems to ensure efficient and safe operations.
• Perform troubleshooting tasks to diagnose and resolve electrical issues under guidance.
• Follow safety protocols and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Use and maintain tools, materials, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Complete administrative tasks, including logging daily work activities and completing paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn and comply with industry regulations, codes, and standards.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems or coursework in electrical trade preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environments.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel to job sites.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Enrollment or completion of a technical training program in electrical systems.
• Some experience or familiarity with commercial electrical systems or tools.
• OSHA certification or safety training is a plus.
