Primary Purpose
Student Assistant to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
Essenatial Duties and Responsibilities
+ Assist the Office of Diversity and Inclusion with programming and event planning, including publicity, event logistics, and set-up, plus helping with administrative tasks such as copying, updating students lists, etc. Meet with student groups, assist with educational programs, and manage projects. Serve as ambassadors to outreach to students on campus and in the Multicultural Center informing them of the services and programs offered by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Help with organizing the Multicultural Center library and keeping the Center neat and clean.
+ Student will work in a diverse environment and be giving meaningful work that will assist them in the future.
+ Student will help with more independent projects such as campus visits and other support for the College and College Prep programs.
+ Student will assist the Office of Diversity and inclusion with programming, event logistics, administrative tasks, and serve as an ambassador to students and community in the Multicultural Center.
+ Occasional travel to branch campuses

+ Ability to use software programs and database systems which include Microsoft Office Suite, email, website editing, basic desktop publishing, and modern office equipment.
Ergonomic Requirements
Regular office hours are established between 8 am 5 pm during the workweek. A flexible work schedule, including nights and weekends, may be necessary due to the nature of the responsibilities.
Incumbent must be able to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature. Requires the ability to work at a workstation for extended periods. Requires to write, read written materials and computer screens, and ability to use telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25lbs. All individuals are required to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

+ Awarded and accepted Federal Work-Study for 2024-25
+ Meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress for financial aid.
