Position Summary Provide legal counsel to internal clients on labor and employment, immigration and OSHA matters. Work in a fast-paced collaborative environment handling complex legal matters. Viewed as an expert and trusted partner within the company in designated practice area. This position is Hybrid work arrangement requiring the employee to be in the Minneapolis office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Essential Responsibilities Provides leadership and counsel to Xcel Energy management on complex legal, business, legislation, regulation and strategic matters. Prepares contracts, pleadings, briefs and other documents for business transactions or legal proceedings. Represents Xcel Energy in courts, regulatory agencies and other adjudicatory or adversarial proceedings. Minimum Requirements: Minimum Requirements for Assistant General Counsel (Salary Range: $175,000 - $210,000)

• Juris Doctorate degree from ABA accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in state where position is located.
• 10+ years of practice in corporate law department, law firm, government practice or equivalent legal experience.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Immigration law experience
• OSHA experience
• Litigation Experience
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills

Minimum Requirements for Principal Attorney (Salary Range: $139,400 - $197,467)

• Juris Doctorate degree from ABA accredited law school.
• 6-10 years of practice in corporate law department, law firm, government practice or equivalent legal experience.
• Licensed to practice law in state where position is located.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Immigration law experience
• OSHA Experience
• Litigation Experience
• Excellent Verbal & Written Communication Skills
