Lead Full Stack Software Engineer - EdTech AI Startup The organization's innovative product combines education technology and artificial intelligence to transform student learning experiences, empower educators, and reduce educational costs. This startup has successfully secured over $10 million in Series A funding and is supported by prestigious investors. With impressive annual recurring revenues already reaching several million dollars, the company is experiencing rapid growth and currently serves over 100 school districts. As a small team of around 25 employees, including the CTO and five junior engineers, we offer a dynamic working environment. In this role, you will assume essential responsibilities currently managed by the CTO, focusing on full stack development of our core product. You'll enjoy the perks of being among the early contributors (such as ownership and significant impact) while also working on a solution that has validated its market fit with a growing customer base. The organization offers a targeted salary of approximately $250,000, with room for negotiation, plus equity that could yield significant returns. Key Responsibilities: Engage in approximately 60% front-end and 40% back-end development. Work with a tech stack that includes Node.js, TypeScript, and React. Take charge of enhancing and expanding our educational platform as we scale. Design and refine features for various user roles, including district administrators, educators, and students. Build internal tools to increase operational efficiency. Create and maintain integrations with other systems. Scale our infrastructure to meet the increasing user demands. Optimize both front-end and back-end performance. Qualifications: Strong expertise in React and Node.js, with a willingness to learn new technologies as needed. Ability to navigate and master large, intricate codebases and products. Skill in evolving abstract ideas from Figma designs into functional features. Proficiency in cloud infrastructure tools. A passion for making a meaningful impact in the education sector. A desire for significant responsibility and product ownership. Resourcefulness and a drive to learn new skills and tackle complex challenges. Comfortable taking on high-stakes projects and challenges.
