Job Summary: Exos is seeking a Performance Nutrition Specialist to join our team. Candidates must be credentialed as Registered Dietitians. The Specialist will be responsible for integrating nutrition into the overall performance strategy for the athletes of a professional sports team, ensuring a seamless connection between diet and athletic performance. This role also includes guiding athletes on a daily basis to enhance their performance. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement a strategic vision for Performance Nutrition across the organization. Provide onsite and remote consultations to athletes and staff regarding nutrition plans, performance strategies, and dietary recommendations. Collaborate with culinary teams at facilities to ensure athlete meals align with performance goals. Counsel athletes on nutrition strategies for optimizing physical performance, competition, and recovery. Assess and analyze dietary habits, body composition, and energy balance in relation to athletic performance. Support athletes with weight management, hydration, immunity, travel nutrition, and supplementation strategies. Evaluate nutritional supplements for safety, efficacy, and compliance with sports governing bodies. Manage the supplement budget and ensure compliance with safety and legal standards. Maintain detailed records of athlete progress and feedback. Work closely with coaching, medical, and culinary staff to integrate nutrition into all performance programs. Deliver nutrition education to athletes, staff, and teams through presentations and workshops. Plan and manage food service logistics, including menus and catering for home and away games. Oversee budgets related to nutrition expenses, including kitchen supplies and travel meals. Qualifications & Skills: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with active registration. Master’s degree in clinical nutrition or related field. Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) or willing to obtain. 2+ years of experience in sports nutrition, preferably in a professional or collegiate setting. Experience within a culinary or education setting is a plus. Strong communication, counseling, and teamwork skills. Ability to manage time, budgets, and records effectively. Knowledge of ergogenic aids, NCAA, USADA, and WADA regulations. Familiarity with food safety, supplements, and HIPAA compliance. Work Conditions: Must attend home games and travel for away games. Non-traditional hours, including nights and weekends, required. Available for remote support during away games.
