Your role will include: Designing, building, and maintaining a large-scale Django application for a rapidly growing “Project Based Learning” SaaS product. Creating and maintaining new and existing Python packages and code, responsible for performance tuning and streamlining the current Python/Django codebase. Working directly with the CEO, lead software developer, third-party developers, and meeting with clients on a daily basis. These are the skills you need to have: Absolute expert in designing, building, and maintaining web applications built with Python and Django. Solid foundation in developing REST APIs. Ability to create and maintain distributed systems that span multiple servers and systems. Creating application layer tests in Python’s unittest package and creating UI tests with Selenium. Strong background in SQL, specifically PostgreSQL, and experience with Elasticsearch. Understanding of asynchronous task queue/job concepts and experience with Python’s Celery package. You will get extra credit if: You can work with front-end technologies like jQuery, React.js, and Bootstrap. You have DevOps experience and can manage servers with Ansible and Jenkins. You enjoy organizing tasks in Asana.
