Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience in an applied research setting or similar. Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go). Experience in survey design and statistics. Preferred qualifications: Master's or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related fields. 3 years of experience working with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). 2 years of experience conducting UX research on products, managing projects, and working in large, matrixed organizations. Knowledge of research questions within relevant domains and technical tools for data analysis. Knowledge of descriptive, inferential, and multivariate statistics, including t-test and ANOVA, and experimental design. Proficiency in programming computational and statistical algorithms for large data sets. About the role: Google's UX team comprises multidisciplinary professionals dedicated to understanding user attitudes, emotions, needs, and behaviors to inform design and create industry-leading products. As a Quantitative User Experience Researcher, you will: Investigate user behavior and needs using empirical methods such as logs analysis, survey research, path modeling, and regression analysis. Combine skills from computer science, social sciences, econometrics, data science, psychology, and human-computer interaction to enhance user experience. Collaborate with stakeholders across functions and levels, impacting all stages of product development.
