Description Serves to support the mission of the College and Student Services by actively recruiting students for all programs. From pre-admission to post-graduation, Student Services provides individualized, inclusive, student-centered programming beyond the classroom to bridge the gap between students' goals and achievement.
This position will remain open until filled. Primary Duties RECRUITMENT - Participate in activities for area schools and the community to promote the College's programs.
- Coordinate special events to recruit potential students in a professional and timely manner.
- Plan and conduct campus tours for prospective students and their parents.
- Initiate annual meeting with individual Curriculum and Workforce coordinators to discuss program updates.
- Utilize the College's Customer Relationship Management software to make contact with prospective students.
- Assist marketing and present ideas for marketing efforts and publications, which may include creating, designing, proofing, and printing materials.
- Present information in both group and individual settings for potential students on topics of academics, admission processes, financial aid/scholarship programs, and careers by answering questions regarding the College's policies on academic programs and related student services.
- Maintain relationship with personnel representing high schools, social agencies and organizations, the business community, and external constituencies.
- Identify recruiting events with organizations serving diverse populations.
RETENTION - Participate in student engagement events that aid in retention.
- Create weekly postings to social media for Student Services to increase engagement.
- Assist with student contacts to encourage re-enrollment.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES: - Coordinate monthly student activities in collaboration with the Dean of Students, including presenting new ideas for events and educational programing.
- Attend MCC Student Government Association meetings for the purpose of student collaboration.
OTHER DUTIES - Participate in planning of registration, graduation, and enrollment management efforts.
- Provide support during the curriculum commencement ceremony including assisting with set up and execution of the event.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through reading professional publications and attending workshops and conferences as appropriate.
- Maintain cross-training with other Student Services staff, including providing coverage at the Student Services window.
- Serve on various college committees.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors Degree preferred.
