About the Role:

HMS is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our team as a Skilled Nursing Facility Validation Program Reviewer . In this role, you will conduct audits of Minimum Data Set (MDS) records by reviewing and validating clinical data against skilled nursing facility medical chart documentation. This is a casual/part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and compare clinical data in medical charts with corresponding MDS record data elements.
• Determine whether medical documentation supports the MDS data; identify and document discrepancies.
• Abstract relevant clinical information from medical records.
• Record audit findings using an electronic auditing tool.
• Meet established quality and productivity benchmarks.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing or auditing medical data from medical facilities or other related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to resolving questions or uncertainties.
• Experience with MS SharePoint is a plus.
• Knowledge of MDS and prior experience with MDS reviews is preferred.
