Job Description

Blazer Jobs is currently seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher to join a school district in Beaufort, SC for the 2025-2026 school year. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work with students in a supportive school-based environment, providing specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
  • Provide direct, specialized instruction in both individual and group settings to support students' academic, social, and behavioral development.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure the success of students.
  • Assess student progress and modify instruction as necessary to meet each student's IEP goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance, behavior, and progress.
  • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth for students with disabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding special education services.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state certification in Special Education (South Carolina).
  • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Ability to create and implement IEPs and modify curricula as needed.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
