Description

The Student Recruitment Officer plays a crucial role in attracting and enrolling high-quality prospective students. This position involves co-creating and executing targeted recruitment strategies across multiple platforms, such as presentations, events, and digital communication The Student Recruitment Officer will play a key role building relationships with prospective students, parents, counselors, and the broader community, and representing Corpus Christi College and St. Mark’s College at various recruitment events. The Student Recruitment Officer will contribute to achieving the institution's enrollment goals by providing accurate and engaging information about academic programs, student life, and the overall experience at Corpus Christi College and St. Mark’s College.

Responsibilities

Strategic Recruitment and Implementation:

  • Develop and implement annual student recruitment activities plans for both undergraduate and graduate programs, in collaboration with the Associate Director, Recruitment
  • Meet formalized enrollment targets by recruiting qualified students in both the undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Conduct market research to identify target student populations and effective recruitment channels.
  • Utilize diverse recruitment methods, including group and independent school visits, school fairs, online presentations, and social media campaigns.

Prospective Student Engagement and Communication

  • Recruit domestic & international undergraduate students through formal and informal presentations to prospective students, parents, and the community
  • Make presentations in classroom (in-person and via Zoom) and large format settings, including secondary school information sessions, post-secondary information fairs, parish mass announcements, and other Archdiocesan events.
  • Connect with prospective students (and families) in person, in groups, or via phone, internet-based voice/video chat, and email, maintaining consistent follow-up communications.
  • Host drop-in sessions for information and campus tours utilizing the Student Ambassador program to run the tours.
  • Respond to inquiries from students, parents, and the public regarding program, admissions, and application processes.

Event Coordination and Promotion

  • Coordinate the promotion, registration, delivery, and follow-up of recruitment events (e.g., Preview Nights, Inspire Leadership, Information Sessions for Counselors).
  • Represent the institution at college fairs, high school visits, and other recruitment events.
  • Plan and execute effective promotional campaigns to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Coordinate recruitment booths at college events.

Digital Recruitment and Marketing

  • Oversee e-recruitment efforts via Constant Contact email campaigns and produce analytical reports.
  • Provide input on and assist with marketing collateral development.
  • Utilize social media platforms, and online marketing such as SEO, social media advertising, and content marketing.

Data Management and Reporting

  • Generate reports following visits and events, containing pertinent information for follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and interactions with prospective student.
  • Analyze recruitment data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Prepare reports on recruitment activities and enrollment trends.

Operational Duties

  • Commit to extended travel within Metro Vancouver (weekdays/evenings) and periodic regional trips.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Recruitment.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Marketing, Communications) or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum 2 years of experience in student recruitment or admission at a post-secondary institution is preferred.

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom).

Additional Requirements

  • Must have a valid BC Driver’s License (driver’s abstract may be requested).
