Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparer for our client based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, working with accounting software systems, and providing exceptional customer service. This role offers a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize Drake Tax Software to prepare and review tax returns
• Handle accounting functions such as allowances and deductions
• Ensure accurate data entry and maintain customers' records
• Use software systems like ADP - Financial Services and CCH ProSystem Fx for financial transactions
• Resolve customer inquiries and provide high-quality customer service
• Support operations by monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions
• Use CCH Sales for tracking and managing sales data
• Proficiency in using Drake Tax Software for preparing tax returns
• Solid understanding of accounting functions and principles
• Knowledge of allowances and how they factor into tax preparation
• Excellent customer service skills to handle client queries and complaints
• Experience in data entry with high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with tax deductions and how to optimize them for clients
• Capability to provide operations support, ensuring smooth tax preparation processes
