What You'll Do:
As a Warehouse Associate , you’ll play a vital role in supporting our landscape and outdoor supply contractors.
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring that the correct items and quantities are received.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and ensure that all products are labeled and stored properly.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Order Fulfillment :
- Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to order specifications.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and shipping addresses to ensure accuracy before dispatching orders.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of shipping documents.
- Product Handling :
- Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move products.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Ensure all products are handled and stored properly to prevent damage.
- Shipping and Receiving :
- Prepare outbound shipments by labeling, sorting, and packaging items according to customer requirements.
- Assist in the receiving process, ensuring all incoming items are unloaded, inspected, and properly stored.
- Coordinate with the shipping department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Warehouse Maintenance :
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, following safety protocols.
- Ensure proper storage of products and materials to prevent hazards.
- Assist in the regular cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Team Collaboration :
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.
- Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and resolution of any issues that may arise.
- Assist other warehouse associates with tasks as needed.

Requirements
- Experience :
- Previous Warehouse Experience (Preferred but not Required) : While not always required, prior experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment can be beneficial.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Equipment : Experience with tools like pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment is a plus, though many companies offer training.
- Skills :
- Attention to Detail : The ability to accurately pick, pack, and organize orders without error is essential.
- Basic Math Skills : Ability to count, measure, and track inventory or perform simple math tasks related to product quantities.
- Organizational Skills : Being able to efficiently organize items in the warehouse, ensuring they are easily accessible and stored properly.
- Communication Skills : Clear communication is necessary for collaborating with team members and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Technical Skills :
- Basic Computer Knowledge : Some warehouse roles require knowledge of basic computer systems, especially for managing inventory or using warehouse management software (WMS).
- Scanner and Barcode Experience : The ability to operate barcode scanners or mobile devices used for tracking inventory and processing shipments is often required.
- Safety Awareness :
- Knowledge of Safety Protocols : Familiarity with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) guidelines and company-specific safety protocols is crucial to prevent accidents and ensure a safe work environment.
