Ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements Assume primary day-to-day and overall responsibility for planning, implementing, managing, and controlling all dealership accounting and finance related activities Provide technical accounting expertise and hands-on support to dealership staff Manage 2 accountants Collaborate with the other Controllers/Accounting Managers to ensure consistency and alignment across the organization Responsible for treasury functions of the dealership Assist with store audits and reporting. Coordination with tax accountant on annual tax returns Assist with preparation of the company's annual operating and capital budget. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by management. Skills/Requirements Previous Automotive experience needed. Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in finance or accounting, licensed CPA preferred but not necessary. 5+ years of total experience in accounting Proven supervisory skills with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel Comfortable with operating multiple application systems High attention to detail and accuracy Exceptional communication skills and high emotional intelligence Must be able to pass pre-hire screening that includes a background check, MVR and drug screening.
