Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our team in the Real Estate industry. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in our financial management team, with a focus on monthly reporting, financial statements, and month-end close.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
2. Coordinate and complete the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reconciled.
3. Prepare and present monthly financial reports, highlighting key trends, variances, and areas of concern.
4. Participate in the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely financial projections.
5. Ensure compliance with all internal controls, policies, and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement.
6. Assist in the preparation of year-end audit materials and liaise with external auditors.
7. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and competitive advantage.
9. Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the RE industry.
3. Property Accounting experience highly preferred
