Commercial Roofing Estimator
 
$90-100K Salary
 
Our client, a leader as a full-service Commercial Roofing services provider seeks a Estimator with commercial roofing experience in Houston, Texas . The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates, schedules, and maintaining client relationships. They value strong communication and creative problem-solving skills.
 
Responsibilities:
 

• Represent the company in client interactions and meetings with architects, consultants, property managers, and contractors.
• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and colleagues to understand project requirements.
• Foster relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and new customers.
• Manage and expand the client portfolio.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and handle bid invitations and proposals.
• Analyze project specifications and drawings to compile project notes, RFIs, and scope details.
• Perform building measurements and estimates using Edge Estimating Software or comparative software.
• Manage estimating functions, including bids, pricing, and change orders.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities through process analysis.
• Develop detailed project proposals and cost estimates based on data analysis.
• Prepare reports on production forecasts and make recommendations.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure smooth project handoffs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and coordinate with project and production teams.
• Participate in financial analysis upon project completion and track performance metrics.

 
 
Required Skills/Abilities:
 

• High School Diploma / GED
• Minimum 1 year of project management or estimating experience in commercial roofing.
• Knowledge of commercial roofing, especially single-ply, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied, and metal projects (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a financial forecasting ability.
• Ability to analyze specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
