Director of Quality – Aviation and Aerospace

Tasks and Responsibilities

As Director of Quality, you will play a vital leadership role in maintaining and advancing the quality culture across all departments. Your focus will be on compliance, process improvement, and building strong partnerships across the organization. You will drive quality initiatives and ensure our practices meet the rigorous standards of the aerospace industry.

• Lead and manage the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring AS9100 and other regulatory compliance

• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely corrective actions and documentation

• Drive Root Cause Analysis and Corrective and Preventive Action (RCCA) across departments

• Direct and support all Quality Inspectors to ensure consistent application of standards and procedures

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Receiving to align quality objectives

• Support supplier quality management and vendor qualification processes

Required Skills and Knowledge

To succeed in this role, you will bring strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding quality across every function and process.

• Proven experience managing Quality Management Systems (QMS), especially AS9100

• Deep understanding of FAA and EASA compliance requirements

• Expertise in performing internal audits and managing external audits

• Skilled in root cause analysis and implementing RCCA

• Strong collaboration experience with Supply Chain, Procurement, Warehouse, and Receiving teams

• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop Quality Inspectors and quality-focused teams
