Job Title: Safety Coordinator
Location: Fontana
Hours: 8am - 5pm
Pay: $31-$33 an hour DOE
Must have's:
• Proficient in Excel
• Bi-Lingual Spanish
• Excellent organizational skills
(will be gathering info, running reports, emailing supervisors, attending morning meetings, sharing safety objectives, and safety audits)
Summary
The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator will assist the Environmental Health & Safety Manager in implementing and maintaining EHS programs. This role includes handling administrative tasks, conducting safety audits, training employees, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Assist the EHS Manager with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling meetings, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections across the facilities to identify potential hazards.
• Help organize and coordinate safety training sessions for employees, ensuring all staff are educated about safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist in compiling and maintaining records, reports, and documentation required to meet environmental, health, and safety regulations.
• Facilitate the documentation and investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses, including maintaining incident reports and logs.
• Other administrative tasks as necessary.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, or a related field preferred but not required.
Qualifications
• Prior experience in an EHS role is desirable, particularly in a similar industry or manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Products.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to maintain confidentiality when working with investigations and injuries.
